The Center for Sciences and Biomedical Engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Mass. She did failure-analysis of Robotic Surgery systems and wrote a paper recommending ways of minimizing the problems found.
Emilie Craig worked at the Center for Ocean Engineering at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, N.H. She assisted in creating an underwater ROV entered in the NASA Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) competition.
Carl Kim worked at the University of Central Florida Burnett Biomedical Center, and at the New York University Langone Medical Center. Both projects involved brain cell research.
Soo Rin Lee (Sadie) worked at Avegant, Inc. in Redwood City, Calif. She programmed systems associated with the development of Avegant's Glyph portable “mediawear" system.
Olan Onanuga worked at the
University of Washington BioMedical Engineering Department in Seattle, Wash. He researched the link between Type 2 Diabetes, Aortic Stenosis, and Calcific aortic valve disease (CAVD).
Kat Ramos worked at the
Rutgers University Information, Networks, and Signal Processing Research Lab in Newark, N.J. She created programs and data bases to capture data for statistical studies from the Twitter application.
Karl Risley worked at the Georgia Tech Aerospace Transportation and Advanced Systems Lab in Smyrna, Ga. He assisted research into reducing jet engine noise using the GTRI Anechoic Static Jet Facility and Schlieren Imaging System.
Jack Rogers worked at the Daniel Webster College Aeronautics Lab in Nashua, N.H., and Oxford University, London, England. He analyzed and designed High Camber Airfoils in an attempt to lower the Reynolds Numbers of the wing designs.
Yutaro Shimamura worked in
Saitama University’s Biology Laboratory in Saitama, Japan. He researched Leptin production and caravan behavior in the
Suncus Murinus house shrew.
Matt Stellato worked at the technology incubator mHub (previously Catalyze) in Chicago, Ill. He developed robot-arm-control and CNC programs.
Andrew Suh worked in the Yonsei University Electronic Devices Laboratory in Yonsei, Korea and at OCI Company, Ltd. In Seoul, Korea. He assisted in the laboratory’s thin film transistor research and OCI’s solar-panel development work.
Mallika Yedla worked at
Mesa Associates Engineering in Madison Ala., and then at the University of Pennsylvania Management & Technology Institute in Philadelphia, Pa. She worked on website development for Mesa and engaged in product-development work at UPenn.
